OPENFLEX WELCOMES CHINESE INSURANCE DELEGATE TO LOS ANGELES

Through the efforts of Richard Zhang, Henry Yu and Gary Knoble, the Chinese insurance delegete finally arrived in Los Angeles on June 29. They attended the 2001 IASA conference in San Antonio, Texas as Guests of OpenFLEX. The group included some of the Top Insurance people in China, which included Mr. Ren Huichuan, VP of Ping An Insurance Company of China, Mr. Minhong Zou, CFO of New China Life Insurance, Mr. Richard Zhang, Accounting Manager of Ping An, Mr. Zubiao Gao, Manager of Reinsurance of Ping An, Ms. Liji Zhou, Professor of Insurance Department of Renmin University and Mr. ZhiQiang Wu, Professor of Insurance Department of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC).

On May 30, OpenFLEX assisted with the arranging for the Delegates to visit with Dr. Weili Lu, Director, Center for Insurance Studies, California State University at Fullerton and Joanna Moore, Vice President, Mercury Insurance. Ms. Moore conducted an excellent presentation on the history and business model of Mercury Insurance Group and provided a visit to the Automobile Club of Southern California.

OpenFLEX was the only vendor invited to pre-IASA conference private party. Before the 2001 IASA Conference began, OpenFLEX along with the delegates from China were invited to join IASA Chapter members for a private party held at "Rio Cibolo Dude Ranch" in San Antonio, TX where the festivities included games, prizes, fine food and a live band for everyone's dancing pleasure.
